    device not compatible with 7


    hi i recently purchased an mp3 player that isnt compatible with windows 7 but all previous systems... is there a way i can make it work on 7 without having to spend massive amounts of money?

    so there is no way i can plug my mp3 player up to my comp and it work in other words. i just doubt that. i mean its just a usb issue or driver or something. it works with all windows previous.

    Did you plug into the computer,and let windows try to find drivers for him?

    yeah i plug it in and it does nothing. it doesnt read it it doesnt do anything. on the mp3 player it says usb connected and shows like it is but under computer nothing shows up.. all my drivers are up to date my usb is up to date. i know i had this same mp3 player with vista a while back and it worked perfectly fine.

    well its windows 7 home premium 64 bit
    hp pavilion eilte hpe-400y
    ati radeon hd 5450
    amd phenom 2 945 quad-core

    and the mp3 player is one of them there quick made china ones from ebay 4gb and 4gb sd....

    im thinking about just getting a sd card but thats a pain in the rear end. id much rather just plug it in and play.

    You always run the risk of poor support when you buy a knock-off, no-name brand of anything. Do other USB devices work on that same port?

    yeah... everything else does... ok on the page after i bought it my smart self actually read everything and its not supported by windows 7 but all previous ones. so is there anyway i can get say the usb drivers from xp on my winders 7? cause wouldnt that recognize it then idk im not a pro

    Did you try it to other computer with Windows 7 or XP? Maybe something is wrong with your pc...
