Computer freezeswhen i enter a dvd

Hey!
Recencly i got W7 working but i had a small problem, every time i entered a DVD to the reader my computer freezes. It has no problems reading the DVD and it asks me what do i want to do but after few seconds it freezes. I never had this problem with XP. I also checked and my comptuer has no problems detecting it and says everything is okey

Does this happen only when your trying to play a DVD and not a CD? If so what program are you usiing to paly your DVD's or is it even happening with Data DVD's?

Also which version of Seven are you running and did you buy it retail,OEM or burn it from an ISO?

It also happend when i put it a CD and it dosen't matter what sort of things are on it. Couldnt get my Bad Company 2 dvd working neither a music cd and everything between them. Some extra info. My computer freezes after i open or try to read some info from it. When i just put it in and don't do anything with it nothing happend.
About your last question. I got a retail copy but i couldnt get it working. When i put the DVD in and restart my computer and then boot the dvd everything was fine but when it reached 1% in extracting install stuff i got a error. Sometimes even before it so i also tryed a ISO and in the end i got it working with a ISO what i burned while using windows XP
