Cannot enable new USB audio device the sound window.

I just ordered a new Syba SD-CM-UAUD USB Stereo Audio Adapter from amazon. I plugged it into my laptop, but nothing happened. I went into the sound settings and found that the device was not enabled. I went into properties, changed "disabled" to "enabled", hit apply and then OK, but nothing changed. It just would not let me enable the device. I have also tried plugging it into other computers, and it works perfectly on other devices. Does my laptop just hate the device?

    Thank you in advance.

P.S. Title should say "In the sound window."

Try another install. Use the System Restore and restore the PC back to an available restore point that is BEFORE you first attempted to install it. Then try the install again.

The System Restore will give you a clean point to start over with the install.

I unfortunately do not have any restore points that are around that time. I actually have not made any in a while so it would be kinda bad to try that.

Go to the Device Manager, check for it in the Sounds section. If not there, check the USB and see if there is an Unknown Device Listed. In either case, if one of those are there, RIGHT click on the entry and then LEFT click "Uninstall". disconnect the USB device from the PC and restart the PC. Now connect it and Windows should detect new hardware and install it. This may fix it.
