How long will your SSD live?

Here's an interesting program.



There is a freeware and a payware version.

Freeware version does the job.

I'm a bit dubious of this one - off the bat it tells me me my 120GB drive is 180GB... What else isn't it reporting correctly

Intereswting. Have you had an opportunity to ask the SSD-Life people why this is?

it claims to 'control your ssd lifetime' - and it can tell you to the day when your ssd is going to die.

is that control? or just pure bull?

i'll give this one a pass i think.

I don't expect my SSD to last any less than 5 years. And by that point, I won't want it anymore...it will long since be replaced with something bigger, faster and likely cheaper.
