Greyed out 'Use P-state transitions (PST)' in RMclock

Hi,

I am trying to undervolt my laptop with RMclock, so when I go to the 'Use P-state transitions (PST)' option (found in the Performance on Demand profile), it is greyed out, meaning I won't be able to undervolt! Why is it greyed out, and can I ungrey it out to use this feature?

Hi,

Actually, I am not using RMClock on the computer in my system specs, but I am using another Windows 7 laptop, with a P4 processor. What can I do?

P-state transitions greyed out normally means rmclock doesnt support that cpu. Give me the details of the cpu.

No Pentium 4 based processor supports undervolting. It was first introduced with the Pentium M - that was the only Pentium processor at the time capable of being undervolted. The only other pentium processors that can be undervolted are the dual cores which came into the market much much later.

Hi,

No offense, but I don't think that is true as I have seen on the internet that people have actually undervolted their Pentium 4's.

Pentium-4 brand had both desktop and mobile processors. Yours is likely a desktop board that doesnt support undervolting.

Hi,

The pentium 4 is on a notebook, so how could it be a desktop board?
