Kernel Power supply crash computer not starting up
Hi, this is my first time on these forums, and I was hoping that you guys could help me out.
I got an HP p6210y one year ago, around December 2009. It came with the nVidia GeForce 9100 graphics card built in the motherboard. For Christmas this year I got a 600w power supply and an ATI Radeon 4650.
A few weeks after installing it, my computer started shutting down out of nowhere. It wasnt a virus, and I figured out it was a Kernel Power supply error. After a few days of troubleshooting I did a few things. I took apart my computer, and reinstalled the Radeon graphics card and updated every single driver I could find. The computer worked fine for about a month after that.
Yesterday, my computer turned itself off again, and once again I updated my graphics card driver. It worked fine after that. Today, it turned itself off. I pressed the button to turn it back on, but right as Windows was loading up (before the screen to choose your user came up), it shut itself down again. When I tried to press the button again, it wouldnt work.
Could I have some theories or explanations as what could be causing this? Thanks in advance!
