Multimedia Keyboard functions do not work.

I recently got a new Klip Xtreme multimedia usb keyboard

Model: KKM-101E/S

Seen here:
Klip Xtreme

All the standard keys work just fine. The problem is that none of the multimedia keys do not work at all no matter what i try. I have tested it out on other computers running Windows 7 and it works perfectly. So i'm thinking its a problem with a setting on my computer.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
OS Language: English (Trinidad and Tobago)

I had the language on English (United States) originally and that did not work, since then I have changed it to English (Trinidad and Tobago) still doesn't work..

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Did you get an installation CD with the keyboard, this will probably have the necessary drivers included to make the functions work.

There was no installation CD nor are there drivers available on the website. It's USB plug n play.
I have also emailed the support team and they did not give me any insight as to what the problem could be.

A few things to try:

1) Try a different USB port

2) Uninstall the keyboard from Device Manager, then scan for new hardware.

Worth a try!

Thank you for your suggestions. I have tried all of them, but no joy.

However, I just remembered this, I forgot to mention this earlier.
My previous multimedia keyboard was a PS2 keyboard and the end of the keyboard plug (the part you plug into the computer) went bad , it kept shorting out and in addition to that the PS2 port on my motherboard is also bad as well (I tested a good known working PS2 keyboard and it didnt work, so i'm sure its bad) could this somehow be related to the current problem with the new keyboard?

And! the only multimedia button that works on the current Klip Xtreme USB keyboard is the Power (Shutdown) button.

I suppose it's possible that a fried PS2 port could be messing up the way Windows handles another type of keyboard. The fact that the keyboard in question works fine on other computers tells you it's OK.

You might try to run the System File Checker to see if something has gone astray.
