    LED monitor?

After some advice once again guys.

I will finally be purchasing a decent monitor next week.

The one I have lined up which I think is good is a nice LG 23" LED -

LG E2350V 23" Widescreen LED Monitor - Glossy Black - Aria Technology

The question is , is it worth spending the extra for LED?

There are many many regular 24" monitors that are cheaper than the 23" LED one I have my eye on , but an inch doesn't bother me , I am more interested in the detail and quality of picture.

    Any opinions/advice welcomed.

    Cheers

    Paul.

I have an HP x2408 Vivid Color Widescreen LCD that performs beautifully. IMO

Thanks for the reply , I guess what I really need is someone on here that has had both and can give me a comparison between the 2 types and if its worth the extra dollar?

    Cheers

LED's are the shizznit. If you found one you like, definitely go for it! I only wish Samsung was making 24" LED's.

Yea I normally go for Dell monitors, and wish they'd get some 24" LED monitors in as well.

That 23" LED monitor will have a much better image than the cheaper 24" monitors. It's a good price and will be a good purchase.

Not sure right off both styles are availabele but ..

The glossy screens really make the colors pop out more and look really good.

The downside is they tend to have a reflection or glare if a light source, (window or light) is shining on them and show dust and fingerprints much much easier.

The matte type screen will look a bit duller, but do not reflect light nearly as bad. Still good picture however.

Glossys still look awesome though, and Id go that route if possible.
Just be mindful of the glare they can have, you dont want a window right by it to reflect sunlight for example.

Glossy is refering to the black glossy bezel.
