CD/DVD player will not automatically load programs

Hi,
I have a problem trying to automatically load software when I put it in my CD player. I can open the files on the CD after I put the CD into the CD player, but my computer stopped automatically running the install program when I try to install new programs. I have a Repair Disk that I would like to run to fix this problem, but I can't start it up to repair the files. Also, there is no "Setup" file when I look at the files on the Repair Disk. Any suggestion as to how to get around this problem?
Thanks,
quicksun

Hi,

As well as the advice above I'd recommend the following...

Click Start then 'Default Programs'
Capture.PNG

Click 'Change AutoPlay Settings'
Capture1.PNG

Scroll down to the bottom of the page & click 'Reset all defaults'
2.PNG

Now, insert your disk and you should have your options back, including the option to select a default action.

Hope it helps :)
