vga to dvi to hdmi connection

sorry if this is in the wrong place i didnt know where to put it (or if its even relevent on the site)

anyway i have an acer aspire one AOA150Bb and want to connect it to my tv the only problem is that my tv doesnt have a vga connection and my laptop doesnt have a HDMI port so i am thinking of buying a Belkin DVI-I Female to VGA Male Adapter and a Premium HDMI to DVI Cable Gold 2 Metre

then connecting it up to my VGA port on the netbook and the HDMI port on my TV will this even work or because its so cheap should i just try it and hope

    thanks in advance

Won't work. Going to take a little more than a couple of cables to make that kind of connection, as you can't take an analogue signal and feed it to a digital destination. You're going to need a VGA to HDMI converter, something like one of these,

It was only a reference to what you need.

That USB adapter you linked too should do it. Then all you would need is a single DVI-HDMI cable like this,

    5m HDMI to DVI Cable - Premium Quality / 1080p / v1.3: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

instead of the VGA-DVI adapter and two cables you mentioned previously.
