the HP920c will not print colour when connected to my pc running under WIN 7 Prof. Black prints perfectly. When the LP is connected to my other Pc running under WIN XP Prof, it prints everything perfectly. I have tried downloading driver for it under win 7 but it still fails to print any colour. It prints it all in black. what am i doing wrong? suggestions please

How are you connecting to the printer?

If you aren't using a USB cable, give it a try.

First off welcome to the Forum though I can't say I am particularly inspired by your chosen user name!
In your printer dialogue you can select "Color" or "Black and White" Just check these settings first. Then in the advanced tab you can select "Print in Gray Scale" This needs to be checked!

I understand that but we haven't really established whether this is a printer problem or a Windows 7 problem!

I thought I have made it clear that it is not the printer problem, as I had connected it -using the same usb cable to my other pc running under Win XP Prof. 32 there were no problems printing in color to and with this LP HP920c. it is only when i installed it on the new Pc running under Win7 Prof 32 that the problem arose. it refuses to print in color. Ihave downloaded and installed the latest driver fron HP and let windows look for and install the latest driver when I installed it on the new PC i also tried installinmg it using the original CD Disc that came with the LP all no good! it resolutly refuses to print in color!

May I ask what has my username got to do with my posting a problem on the Windows 7 Forums? surely the forum is here for people to help each other with problems they are encountering? or are people only "inspired" to help if they like a particular username or avatar? Any comments ??
