Windows 7: DVD drive keeps ejecting

Hello:

My wife put a CD into her drive I have no idea what she did then, and neither has she :-), and after she took it out, the drive keeps ejecting. At some point, we got the message "Files are waiting to be written to the drive/disk" or something similar. I have had that before on my computer, without too much trouble. However, it would be nice to know why one gets that, but, in particular, it would be great if someone would know how I can get the darn drive to stay closed (it did stay closed for quite a while at one point, but then, it started ejecting again).

Ok Hans.
Goto start
Click on 'computer'
Doubleclick on the drive you are trying to open.
You will find that there are probably files waiting to be written to a disc.
Delete these files and then insert DVD.
Should work fine then.
