Adding hardware key

Hello everyone,

I need to automatically add a key to the root\eneum subkey. Here is the deal: I need to install a driver for an external device, it is not automatically detected by the system, because it is not inside of my pc.

I am automating the installproccess of the device using cmd\inf\reg files. The driver will not install because it cannot find the hardware id, usually located at HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\Immage\XXXX were XXXX are nubers.

Do some of you have an idea how to do this? I tried devcon but it seems it lost it's function to add hardwarekeys when not pressent. They enum branch is protected by the way...

Just to be clear:

I am looking for an automated way to add an external device to device manager, so I can than install its drivers by calling it's then existing hardware id... (using devcon or the like)
