Printer not recognised
Help! I am trying to install Epson Stylus TX710W multifuntion. I had it installed fine until I my hard drive died and I had to reinstall Sony Vaio OEM windows 7 64 bit. I get the message that the printer is not recognised. I downloaded the Windows 7 drivers from the web site but still no printer. I have uninstalled some programs that may be causing the printer to not work, no good. When I try to print anything the icon in device and printers has an exclamation mark on it.
I know it works as it was working earlier. The printer works on my notebook, XP installed, OK as I have a wireless modem/router (Netgear DGN2000).
I have disabled Teredo as I got the message that its driver was corrupted . Did I do the right thing there? I checked device manager and the printer/scanner is not there. I thought it would automatically be there once the printer was installed!
I am not a technical person but have a windows 7 disc, which I rushed out and bought when the Hard drive died, and I am tempted to reinstall again and not have the Vaio software that comes with their computer. Thanks, below is my relevent information.
Windows 7, 64 bit, service pack 1
Sony Vaio all in one computer.
