Windows 7: D-sub

I am looking for a new wide screen monitor and have came across an LG model I want DVI input but it quotes D-Sub I would like to know what this means?
I was also looking for an HDMI input this model is quoted as full HD but does not mention an HD socket.
The model in question is the LGW2246S

It's the VGA 15 pin connector

According to the UK manual, no DVI or HDMI outputs for that model.
