    Printing to a text file

    Hello

I'm trying to print a report to a text file, but no luck yet. I know i had done it few month ago using Windows XP.

I need to transfert data from my application to Excel and the easiest way is to print info as a .txt file and read it with Excel

    Any informations appreciated

I don't know about your printer setup, but in my Brother laser printer, that choice is available in the properties configuration under "ports".

    Thanks

I got HP1020 printer. Even if I select the "print to a text file", nothing is done and the page is sent to the printer.

I will look deeper in my HP printer setup

I'm trying to print a report from MultiCharts, a trading software.

I may have just solutionned the problem. I have created a new printer and select the text file as the port. Need to find where the file as been stored, an easy problem
