    IOMEGA:
    http://go.iomega.com/en/products/ext.../?partner=4740

    LaCie - Rugged USB 3.0

I don't know which one to choose since my seagate agent go is broken...

Sorry I can't help as I haven't used either, my external drive is a Seagate Expansion so not what you would call a portable one as it's used on a desktop computer, don't have a laptop.

I suppose it comes down to what you can afford and which one would give you all the features you need, have you read any reviews about them and if so which comes out the better buy ?

I don't think you can go wrong here...choose one and press on. I prefer the Orange color myself...ha.

I like my Rugged USB 2.0. I have had it for a couple of years with no problems, though others have had some I guess. Based in France may be a support issue, though I never needed it so don't know.

    Dear Martin Dendev,
I have compared the specs, prices and popularity of the brands in question!

In my country, Seagate, WD, Iomega are rated in that order, not to forget that INDIA is the biggest out-sourcing country in the world both for USA(mainly) and also Europe. So, you "may" consider us computer-savvy"!

Guess you will be well off with Iomega! Just wanted to add, if you can, buy a 1TB drive and you won't regret it!

    Regards,
    Sreedhav:)

Ive used the LACIE Rugged USB many times. They are quite tough, lets just say they would need to be for the people I gave them too. If you think that it is likely to be damaged, or want to make sure you have good USB protection, go with one of these.

Though I have four external portable drives - Two Seagate GoFlex and two Go - between the two you had marked, I would recommend the Lacie without a blink. Somehow IOmega had never impressed me and as Sreedhav mentioned it is not a brand on the run here in India. Neither is the Lacie but the reason for it is the usually high price. About 2 to 3 years back when a visitor to U.S.A wanted me to recommend an external hard drive to buy there, it was a Lacie without any alternative and to this day he is happy with it.

    hi all,
    thanks for your quick answers.
as I see, many people would go for the Lacy.
Currently in Belgium, the Lacie is at the same price at the Iomega.
So I think i will go for the Lacie.
Thanks again and greetz from Belgium!
