You have the motherboard type and name, the question is now, how do I install it without reinstalling windows?

I've browsed the web and there's been a lot of different ways, but they all ended in the fact that windows rescanned for hardware, so it didn't try to boot with the wrong drivers and causes a BSoD. I thought I'd run it past you guys, and while I do realize that reinstalling Windows is the safest bet, I just don't want to if I can do without.

I've backupped everything important so that's not a problem either.

    Hmm, no replies, fair enough.

Just answering to my own post to get it on the front page again so that people might notice it.

When you buy a new motherboard, that means you also have to buy another copy of 7 (Or which ever operating system you wish to install) I wasn't aware of this either

Has any of you actually tried out some of these methods yourselves, and might have some experience to speak from?
