Windows 7: Mouse P/S 2 not working

hi, i just installed Windows 7, and everything went allright, except my mouse doesnt work, it didnt work at any point of the installation neither now in my Windows 7 desktop.

Looking in Hardware Administrator, i see theres a problem with it, i check it it says error Code 10. and something like the hardware cant start. (in spanish thats why my lame traduction)



i already updated my Windows 7, i tried to update mouse driver(directly from the hardware administrator) saying there was no avaliable update. i unistalled the driver, pluged back in my mouse and still doesnt work.

the mouse does have power cuz the light (its optical) its on. i have Windows Xp working on a diferent partition and my mouse works like a charm.

whats going on?

2 GM RAM 800mhz Corsair
Nvidia Gforce 7300 GT
Mouse: Genius P/S 2 Optical

Did you try the drivers for XP in windows 7 or the windows 7 drivers?
