Get us some benchmarks so we can see the improvement.
And - ENJOY IT!
I will profdlp!
The improvement that I've already noticed is that I can finally play GTA IV with ease
What benchmarks should I perform?
I know about prime95,
But that's all I know about lol.
The three listed here are mainly for your graphics card, but they'll give your whole system a pretty good workout:
Download | Unigine (advanced 3D engine for multi-platform games and virtual reality systems)
Nice to look at, too!
Okay,
Am downloading from the torrent.
It's really fast.
What should I know before starting the benchmark?
Just the basics..
The first one is (I believe) DirectX 11 only. It still ought to run though.
Basically, look for the "Benchmark" icon and click that. Otherwise it's just a show with a framerate counter in the corner.
You can mess around with the Anti-Aliasing (AA) settings, etc, to your heart's content.
Okay, do you think I should start off with the settings maxed?
Or start with the settings on low?
Your pick, man.
Most people probably start low so they can get a high score they can brag about, then crank it up step-by-step to find the point where it starts to choke.

My first PC didn't do so bad.
I think.
Turn the Anti-Aliasing off and try again.
I'm far from an expert on video benchmarking, but those score don't look terrible for that card. You picked the most demanding test of the three and could at least still run it. Plus it's a DX11 test and you don't even have a DX11 card. I'd try the other two and see what kind of improvement you get.
And be warned - someone always comes along and tells you about their great score. Keep in mind that they might have a $600 card in their machine, too.
