Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems

The first thing to try is re-installing the USB controller drivers.

If that does not work then it is most likely that your hardware has failed.

Well, you can also try re-installing the web-cam drivers.

To install drivers, go to "Device Manager" in your Control Panel, click on "Universal Serial Bus Controllers"

Right click on the device to which your webcam is attached, and then on "Update Driver Software".

Don't worry about all the USB stuff you see in that image, I use a lot of USB stuff so I have a lot of hubs. You might only have one!

dont get annoyed,,,, this happens in the beginning and this is how we learn
you have to reinstall your chipset driver which you will get here Acer Europe - Service & Support, Drivers & Utilities, Downloads
select your lappy model and then download from there and install

If it is an "Unknown Device", that means Windows can not recognise it.

Unplug the webcam. Try plugging it into another USB port. If that does not work, and you do not get a message from Windows, then the webcam is most probably defective.

Have you tried rebooting the system?

Did this happen after the computer was in Sleep mode?
