Welcome to Sevenforums,
You might want to fully drain the battery before, then plug it again on wire powered to let it charge 100%.
You can drain it faster if you're on a switchable graphics system by choosing the ATI Performance.
To evaluate to battery performance you can follow this tutorial:
Power Efficiency Diagnostics Report[2]=Power Management
See if your laptop has a conditioning utility in it. Older HP laptops used to let you hit F6 or something like that as they booted, and it would bring you to a battery utility that would drain the battery completely, and perform a full charge.
the laptop get drained fully , but the charging does not get more then 91 % , even if it is plugged for several hours , it keep on charging and still remains on 91 %
You could potentially have a cell going bad in the battery itself? Have you noticed that the life of the laptop dropping significantly or had it get down to 20% and the laptop just shut off without warning?
yes battery life has got down , what can be da possible solution for it ?
It can be the fact your using the battery often, but don't let it drain enough then plug it again. Could be bad Power Plan management also.
There's a way i think to reset the memory of the Li-ion battery (if it had retain the last charge). Gonna try to find back that one.
Meanwhile try to manage your Power Plan settings.

Windows 7 battery (Consider replacing)

I am having the same issue with my nephew's Acer 5741-A. He's only had it since Christmas, but now it won't charge past 89% - the orange light stays on forever and never goes blue (which indicates fully charged). PParks said that a cheap battery doesn't last long - so do they usually ship cheap batteries with laptops and how much would a quality one cost, that would last for 2-3 years?
He has been using it while plugged in a lot, but surely that should just reduce the battery life, not cause the charging light to stop working properly?
