First of all I want to say thanks to this forum, this is my first time posting in it but it has been IMMENSELY useful for me. I have a Toshiba Satellite P500-MP notebook running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, purchased in January of this year. On the advice of some threads on these forums I recently did a system restore because I was getting the blue screen of death regularly. I used the Toshiba Recovery Media discs I created, and the Toshiba system restore wizard to go back to out-of-box settings. The restore seems to have fixed the blue screen problems, and my system is faster and as far as I know more stable.
However, I can no longer print to my network HP Color LaserJet CP3505 Printer. When I installed this printer pre-restore, it worked with no difficulties in installation. I can ping the IP address of the printer, and other people can print to it just fine, so I know its not the printer. I've installed all the Windows Updates after the system restore, I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the drivers
for the printer multiple times, and even downloading them from the HP website, and nothing works. I have read people posting about not being able to print from Adobe or from Office programs, but I can't print anything, not even the test page - the status of anything I try to print is always Error - Printing.
I've tried using the Microsoft troubleshooting apps to no avail.
I am really hoping someone has some insight here - I guess I could just never print anything again and save some trees, but sometimes it is nice to have hard copies...
Thanks in advance!
