    fingerprint seson aes2810

    Hello,

I have a problem with my fingerprint sensor on my windows 7 x64. I have a hp elitebook 8530p. After reinstalling my windows, it seems that the fingerprint sensor, even though windows did identify and install the driver, isn't identified in the control panel under the 'biometric devices' - the typical error shows up: "Windows did not find any biometric devices on this computer. You might need to attach your device or install device drivers". I have been looking over some sites and one actually dealt exactly with my type of laptop on a windows 7 beta. However, reinstalling the driver downloaded from authentec didn't work.
The fingerprint sensor is an aes2810.
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

This site mentions using the Vista driver. You could try that.

That's the exact site I've already checked out. It talks about Windows 7 Beta, not Windows Vista. Windows Vista was part of the subject the he had discussed before :/

How about this one for the 64 bit driver. Remember to uninstall the old driver first.

It's the same driver as on the first site and it's actually obsolete, because it's a beta driver anyway. I don't know how it happened, but on my previous installation it worked all by itself through my hp driver downloaded from the hp official site.
