    Monitor HD Fail

I've got a new BenQ G2420HD series LCD monitor and an HD enabled, windows seven ultimate, 64bit pc. However, when I connect my monitor to my PC using HDMI, my PC detects it (I've checked with a second monitor), it knows the name of it and can change the resolution etc. quite happily but no display shows on the monitor. The monitor just says 'no cables connected'. It works fine if I connect it with a DVI cable (haven't bothered trying VGA) but I want HD! What's going on???

    Thanks :)

Sounds like HDMI being flaky like it can be from time to time. All things considering I wold just use the DVI connection seeing as it works. That and other than HDMI can carry audio, there isn't a difference between the two,

    HDMI vs DVI
