Making an usb flash drive appear as a fixed drive in windows 7

I've been trying to get my 16GB Sandisk Cruzer to appear as an internal disk so I can have multiple partitions on the drive. I've tried both Troubleshooting for USB pen drives under Windows XP this method, which doesnt work in 64 bit windows 7, and using BootIt to flip the removable bit, which is incompatible with my drive. Any way to make windows read multiple partitions on removable devices would be great. Thanks.
