External HDD, wrong Used Space shown!

guys, my external HDD file system before was FAT32, now i made it to NTFS using the "convert X: /fs:NTFS" command...

after that, i think my HDD's "used space" went up, what could be possible problems..

i used the convert command because my files in external HDD was worth more than 200gb+, so it would take long time.:)

also, i checked for hidden files, nothing came up.

    here's the pic:

For issues like this, or just for general hard drive maintenance... I suggest a utility program designed to make your life easier, with details or graphical displays to show you where your space is allocated (knowingly or otherwise).

My own personal choice is Treesize Professional, which is NOT FREE, but I have been using it for many many years. I give it 5 stars and use it regularly.

On another thread just yesterday, another similar AND FREE product was recommended by Mike Connor: a program named GetFolderSize.

I can't vouch for it myself (since I user Treesize), but he does which speaks for itself. Plus, it's FREE!

Whatever utility you use, you really should have something in your arsenal that can examine hard drive contents and present things visually, either graphically or in a list, and show all kinds of information about folder and files.
