    G510 logitech keyboard

My brand new Logitech G510 keyboard won't wake my PC up from sleep mode. My mouse (Razor DeathAdder) will wake up PC from sleep mode. When it does wake from sleep mode I hear the beeps like new hardware has been found and then I can use my keyboard. I've checked for the latest firmware and software from Logitech's website, but it's a fiasco looking for updated drivers and firmware on their site.

    Hello bassfisher,

Here is the link to the software downloads - Gaming Keyboard G510

Which version are you trying to use, the legacy (Version 3.06) or the gaming software (Version 7.0)?

If its connected, try using the legacy drivers/software as the gaming one has some things missing.

Thats if any of this is of any help.

I've tried both and same results with each one. What I'm unsure of is; with both software downloads, is the driver included with it, it doesn't say. How can I find what the actual driver version I have and what firmware version I have?

Open the Set point software. It is listed Start Menu> All programs. Open from there then click Tools tab and click info on left side.
Version of software is listed there on right side.
At least it is on mine, I opened it to be sure.

May or may not help but a couple of things to try,

    1. If you haven't, go into the bios and set the "legacy USB support" to enabled from the default auto.

    2. Wouldn't happen to have anything plugged into the audio jacks on the keyboard would you? Came across a couple of posts elsewhere that were having a similar problem and that fixed it for them.

This isn't really a Windows problem and more a bios/keyboard problem. You have to remember that when Windows is in sleep mode, it isn't running and neither are the drivers for the keyboard and it is dependent on the bios recognizing the keyboard to wake Windows.

changed settings in bios and no change, nothing plugged into keyboard. The odd thing about it is, that it did used to wake computer up from sleep mode. Now it doesn't, I can't figure it out.

First - You wont find any setpoint software as the G-series keyboards do not use it.

Secondly - In device manager, you have got 'Allow this device to wake the computer' checked under the keyboard window.

Thridly - Have you tried a system restore to when it did work, or roughly before.

Fourth - (Probably wont help) - Have you tried other USB ports
