    Can I put Programs on this?


    SanDisk 4GB SDHC Memory Card

    4GB SanDisk Memory Card, SDHC - Walmart.com

    Normally I use a USB Drive, and this looks like the ones you see in Camera. I have the 12-1 reader for it.

    What do you mean by programs? If you mean data, yes.

    Like on my USB Drive I have Setup Files for Firefox, iTunes so if I lose my data I'll have a backup. Would it be faster/as fast as using a USB Drive.

    Yes you could put programs on the card but the speed would be dependent on the card reader/device used.

    Why you'd want to do that over a USB flash drive though is the question. I use a memory card but it's strictly for my cell phone. Outside of that I use a flash drive for any files I need quick access to.

    Bottom line is yea, you can put data on the card, but the speed will be dependent of the device the card is plugged into. Generally a USB thumb/flash drive is going to be faster, and more convenient..... You have to plug that card into a card reader.
