iphone USB device is not recognized

Anyone got an answer to this?

I recently used my new iphone USB got from Fry's (i used before without any problems) to my windows computer -- used itunes no problems -- any backups no problems. Suddenly it stopped working as it is not getting recognized by my computer. Now, getting error 43 on my device manager. I have windows 7 ultimate.

I also used my usb with my ipod and iphone to my usb port in my car to use to play music and it cannot recognize it now. My radio turns off when I plug this in. My usb cable is new!! WTH! Then i used another usb in my computer and still won't budge! no recognition? Then used it in my car then to my work computer then to my laptopn and both usb's are not recognized. WTH?

Please Help. Is this a error 43 virus of some sort??? I really need help.

I'm about to buy another USB.

Note, all other usb devices work in my computer i.e.: External HDD and mouse/printer BUT my (2) usb cables don't work.

I need immediate assistance. Thank you all

is the new usb cable a 3rd party version or an official apple product?

USB port not funcitionning, Error message: Windows has stopped - Microsoft Answers

link to a microsoft answer regarding a usb device code 43(not the iphone) but most of the answers go to this one.

code 43 pretty much means the device is fine but there is a driver issue ie it's not translating the device info for the pc, fixing it isn't hard but could be time consuming, checkdisks can take a while so prepare to wait for 30 min or more.

I will try steps on the link gazz9496. Thank you.

But to let you know. I have already done the uninstall all USB's on Device manage and reboots + driver downloads and reconfigurations and those did not help me at all. I'm wondering if those usb cable are really already damaged. BTW, those are third party usb cables. the original cable is like $30 and whew. I hope that don't get damage. But the 3rd party cable i bought off Fry's electronics were working fine before. I'm just stuck how this happend. Thank you
