Upgrading CPU & Motherboard. What do you suggest?

    i5 with 2 sticks of 4gb ram each in a EVGA mobo. Add more sticks as needed, and then for sure budget for a good 64 to 128 SSD. Your system will be bang on target and future proofed for a long time with your usage.

    Well, I think all you'll need it an i3 2100. Hyper-threading when you need it and a good price.

    maybe somoething like ASUS P8P67 B3 Revision - motherboard - ATX - LGA1155 Socket - iP67 - LGA1155 Socket
    this board would be ok. you dont need to be spending lots of money on an expensive board if your not going to need the power..maybe mate the board with an i5 an 4-6 gig of RAM to future proof yourself.. but other than that everyones recommendations are very good and hope you have a good build
