| | Format Thumb Drive that is accessible on Windows XP I have a thumb drive that i formatted on my new laptop that has Windows XP. ANd i am trying to copies files from my old laptop and desktop that are using Windows. I can add files to my thumb drive on my Windows 7 laptop but when i try and use the thumb drive on any computer that has Windows XP is says the drive needs to be formatted and when i click format (on the windows XP computer) it says can't that i dont have permission. How can i format that drive so that i can use it on both operating systems? |

| | As long as you are formatting it using NTFS, you shouldn't be running into this. |

| | Thanks i will try that. It was being formatted in exFAT so i will try to format using NTFS today. Thanks. |
