HDD SATA 3 (6.0Gb/s) works with SATA 2 (3.0Gb/s) controller???

    Hi,

My MB supports only SATA 2 but in my city, the HDD SATA 3 is more cheap than SATA 2. If I buy the HDD SATA 3 it will work with my MB SATA 2 controller?

I need to do some configuration before (jump switch)? I need to buy SATA 3 cable or the SATA 2 works?

You don't need to do anything special. The sata cable you're using right now will work just fine. The only thing that you should know is that your new hdd isn't going to transfer data at sata 3 speeds... but if it's a single mechanical drive, it wasn't going to anyway... so you're good to go as is.
