Welcome spec009

What key are you tapping during Boot-Up to try to get into the Bios setup?

Could you give us more info of the hardware specs of the system you build ?

When you switch on your PC, keep repeatedly tapping F2 to enter the BIOS. On some systems, the key to press might be Delete or Esc or even a different function key. The key to press should be displayed on screen (unless the BIOS has an option to suppress such messages).

After you set the options you want in the Bios setup, you have to reboot computer and install the Windows 7 Operating System to your hard drive with the Windows 7 install DVD. The bios is not an operating system to boot. Do you have a HD & DVD install to use with your new built PC ?

Are you using a wireless keyboard?

If so, see if you can use a PS2 connector or keyboard with a PS2 connector, then get into the BIOS and set USB to Legacy. This should allow to keyboard to enter the BIOS without being connected to a PS2 port after that.

Had to fuss with this on my first Gigabyte MB.

You might also look to see if a BIOS update is available to address this issue (later on).
