    Can't Play DVDs

For some reason my DVD rom drive isn't working anymore. I'm guessing it's a software issue as it can see the DVD but just can't play them.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

You could try updating the driver, but does ripping the DVD produce a playable .ISO? You can use DVD Shrink or DVD Fab.
