Weird processor problem

Hey guys,

Today, I turned my PC on after school, and everything worked fine. I went to reboot, and it shut windows down fine, but it never started up. It sat there, blue lights on, all fans spinning, but my keyboard and mouse didn't light up. Also, no picture was on my monitor, and no mobo beeps.

So, I took out all the memory, and put one stick in at a time, and tried all 4 slots. Still the same thing happened. Then I tried taking out my video card, and going into onboard video, because my GPU has died before. Still same thing happened.

Finally, I got my brother's CPU (Phenom II x6 1075T) and installed it. It boots up fine.

So, I think it has to be my CPU is dead. I install it anyway, to be sure. It boots up fine.

?!@#!@#?!@3

I'm 90% sure this processor thing happened a few months ago. I didn't do ANYTHING to the fan or processor when I installed my brother's, didn't even touch the the thermal paste.

Why does this keep happening? Is my CPU about to die? Any ideas?

Thanks guys!

Sounds like a faulty motherboard... dead chips don't come back to life.
