Windows 7: Cannot completly remove printer

13 Jun 2014   #11

Windows 7 Professional

The batch file above worked perfectly on my Windows 7 laptop. I was constantly getting multiple copies of the same printer, e.g., Printer, Printer (Copy 1), Printer (Copy 2), and was unable to delete the older copies because jobs were still spooled to them. The batch file deletes the spooled data, and the next reinstall of the printer driver is back to baseline. I know that not losing data or a print job is a consideration, but I wish the printer manager would simply take care of this by itself with a warning. Thank you for posting the batch file.
