how to make hard disk become unallocated?

Delete the volume in disk management - dont forget all the data is lost - seems you know that - to make it a new disc altogether you need to go the manufactures site and download sofware to make a bootable disk eg seagates lets you zero the drive then its as new, as you have to reinitialise it to get it to work.
