i think the monitor is causing trouble

hello
first of all im sorry if this is the wrong section
my problem: my windows 7 starts to a black screen, everything is booting up everything is fine but it doesnt get shown on the monitor. this started happening yesterday when all of a sudden the screen turned black and i was forced to restart and then shutdown pc because it started with black screen . if i remove the power cable from the monitor and put it back in the screen shows up but only for like a second
can you please help?

You could be correct - go to the samsung site and see if it is still under warranty - if so explain the problem and see if you are eligible for a new monitor or free repair of the old one. I had the exact same problem with my viewsonic and it was under warranty and fixed and posted both ways for zero dollars.

well lucky i had another monitor next to me so i switched it and it works fine
but its always easy to "buy new or swap with new" ... is there a way to see if i can fix this one that appears to be acting "funny" ? and no i dont have warranty

If the monitor is not working, and not under warranty, there would be no harm in taking it apart, sometimes electrical issues are obvious, sometimes not. There will not, probably, be an inexpensive solution, as I think the power supply on your monitor might be dead or dying.

the monitor is about ~2 years old .. and i got an exact same one thats even older but is working fine lol
