Keystroke problem! HELP! :)

For multiple games and at one time one my browsers, I think there is a keystroke problem. It misreads them.

It doesn't matter what I type but the game will not recognize most of the keys correctly, namely letters and symbols. Playing many games, the cursor keys, the six navigation/editing keys above it, the keypad, and enter, shifts, alts, cntrls are read correctly, but when I try typing in any letters or symbols all it types is numbers going in sequential order and it doesn't matter what I type...

Something adfkjhdfgkljdfg; will be read as 12345678901234567890 or something like that. What the h3ll is going on? It's been doing this on and off. How do I get it to stop?
