    memory card on printer

I've got a memory card slot on a Canon Pixma printer that I cannot access from Win7 64 bit. I _used_ to be able to see the memory card on the printer since it would show up under the network listing on the left pane of windows explorer. After doing a large number of program updates several weeks ago, I no longer see the printer memory slot. The printer shows up as a printer device, but no memory.

Any ideas on what to check? The memory card reader is confirmed working and visible on an XP computer and a win7 32 bit.

Hello rcwagner, have your visited the Canon site to check for 64bit drivers for the printer? I had to for my aging HP printer, although with fewer features.
Is the printer directly connected to the X64 machine?

The printer is only connected to the network, not direct to the computer.

Yes, I have the latest drivers.

I can print and I can open the printer's web page. The supplied scanner software also works.

The issue is that I do not see the printer's memory card reader. Now that I look again, I also do not see (in Windows Explorer) my wife's Mac and the NAS drive. Although I _do_ have mappings to the NAS and that works. I just do not see in listed under the "Network" on the left pane.

This one is tough one since the printer appears on the network and does what it is supposed to. Apparently one of the software updates conflicted with it in some way. The network seems to be functioning fine.
Two things to try if you haven't, unplug the printer from its connection for a few minutes and see if the slot is picked up after re-connecting.
Power-off all devices (printer connected) and see if that works on power-up. Power back up in this sequence, gateway or modem, router, switch, 1st computer, 2nd computer, etc, NAS storage, printer last.
