Bluetooth mouse won't connect anymore
I love my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop, but there's one niggling problem I keep having: I can't get it to recognise my bluetooth mouse consistently. It was working at one point, then one reboot too many and it just wouldn't work anymore.
My laptop has the built-in Dell Wireless 365 bluetooth module, I use Windows 7 and my bluetooth mouse is a Logitech V470 (model no: M-RCQ142 ).
I have the latest driver for the 365 bluetooth adaptor (R228749) and have installed it and reinstalled it. My mouse has fresh batteries, is right next to the laptop, is switched on and has a "connect" button that I've tried pressing. I'm sure it's discoverable.
I'm not sure that my mouse is not already recognised, and then ignored, by the laptop. In device manager, under Mice and other pointing devices, I have:
- HID-compliant mouse
- Logitech HID-compliant MX320 Laser Mouse (this is the wired mouse I'm using in the interim)
- PS/2 Compatible Mouse
I uninstalled the drivers for the "HID-compliant mouse" item, and it came back after reinstalling the R228749 bluetooth adaptor driver. But the mouse still isn't recognised.
I've also gone into Services and ensured both "Bluetooth Service" and "Bluetooth Support Service" are set to automatic start (as Local System).
Any help would be appreciated, I'd love to get my bloody mouse working consistently.
