HDDs not being recognized

I have three hard drives installed. Both BIOS "Setup" and Win7 Device Manager show all three. When I select "Computer" on the Win7 start screen only the root drive shows. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

How Many HDDs on a Cable?
All PSU SATA power cables I've seen have only four connectors on each cable. Assuming the rail can handle the load and the wire used is large enough to avoid a voltage drop, is there any reason why there can't be more than four HDDs on a cable? What I am wanting to do is run an SSD...
