Windows 7 - Windows does not see correct hdd order.

| | Windows does not see correct hdd order. I have 3 hdd. All of them are sata and i can see the corect order showed in BIOS: Disk 0 - WD 500GB Disk 1 - WD 1TB Disk 2 - Samsung 1TB Right from the instalation part windows does not see the corect order. Disk 0 - WD 1TB Disk 1 - WD 500GB Disk 2 - Samsung 1 TB Any ideea why? |

| | Windows sees the order based on the Boot Order in BIOS. BIOS sees the order based on the SATA port they are hooked up to. |

| | I've had that happen a few times. Some of the time, it was because one drive was formatted, so the installer put it first in line. There doesn't always seem to be a rhyme or reason to it. The easiest solution for the time being, especially if the other drives are formatted, is to unplug all by the one you want to be your C (system volume). |

BIOS order equals Boot order but does not eguals Windows order. |

| | I'm not sure how Windows determines the order in Disk Management, but as long as your drive letters are set the way you want them, there's nothing to worry about. |
