PCI IDE Bus Mastering For Windows 7

Hi everyone.
I have just built myself a new pc and ihave come across a setting in my bios that i have never seen before.
The setting is for PCI IDE Busmaster enabled or disable.

Which one should i choose for windows 7 also all my drives including my dvd drive are sata devices does this make a difference.

Hello Rob, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Since your drives are all SATA and none IDE, you would want to have it set to disabled. The link below gives a description of what it is and does to help.

Hi, thanks for the quick response i did have a look on google but knowhere quite explained it very well.
I did think that it maybe for older ide drives but i was unsure as to whether it would have any effects on sata drives.
