    USB Port Not Working, Help!

My USB port wont work- If I put in a USB device I just get a message saying "USB device not recognised" . I've tried to uninstall it from the device manager and restart my computer but that doesn't do anything. Help !

Welcome to Seven Forums Poster99. When you go to device manager, expand the Universal Serial Bus section, do you see any yellow exclamation marks? Or does it say Unknown Device? Do you have multiple USB ports that are not working, or only one? Did this just start? If so, do you have a System Restore point from before the problem began? I have seen people post that simply unplugging the power cord from the outlet for 1/2 an hour can fix this if it is all USB ports. I myself fixed a internet connection problem by the unplugging method, surprised me!
