Keyboard/Mouse Stops Responding Hey all.
I have a new computer, maybe have had it for a month.
Most of the time, all of a sudden my keyboard stops working without warning what so ever, to get it work again I have to restart the computer, note that the mouse still works most of the time.
If I leave the computer on over the night and when I wake up and check both the keyboard and mouse can stop working.
Sometimes both mouse and keyboard can work without problem for a session.
And when I check on Device Manager there is no error what so ever.
Anyone know what the problem might be? Is my motherboard failing?
My Specs is below under "My System Specs".

If the keyboard and mouse are connected by USB, try unplugging and then plugging them back in again. I have a similar problem with my PC at work, where the USB mouse stops working at random. Simply unplugging and then plugging it back in gets it working again (until the next time, whenever that may be).
Edit: It's frozen on me about 5 or 6 times so far this morning, once whilst writing this reply. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built, N/A OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit & 64-bit both SP1 CPU AMD Athlon (tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 7550 @2.5GHz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA770-ES3 Memory 2 x 2GB PC2-6400 (DDR2-800), Ganged Mode, (4GB total) Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB Sound Card Realtek High Definition on board solution (ALC 892) Monitor(s) Displays ViewSonic VA1912w Widescreen (VGA) Screen Resolution 1440x900 Keyboard Microsoft Digital Media Pro Keyboard (USB) Mouse Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 (USB) PSU XFX Pro Series 850W Semi-Modular Case Antec NSK 4000B II Cooling 1 x 80mm Front Inlet (with filter) 1 x 120mm Rear Exhaust Hard Drives OCZ Petrol SSD 64GB SATA III

Hey man, yea I did that a few times and it usually works but I read that doing that may fry the motherboard or something.
This night I left the computer on and on the morning both mouse and keyboard was dead, so i tried to unplug and plug in again but nothing happend.. :/ | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Taurus OS MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 CPU Sandy Bridge Intel Core i5 2500K @ 3.30GHz Motherboard MSI P67A-C45 Memory 8,00 GB DDR3 Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Sound Card 7.1 Realtek ALC888 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster T260 Screen Resolution 1920 x 1200 x 59 hertz Keyboard Logitech Illuminated Mouse Logitech G5 Laser Mouse PSU 600W Case Taurus R1 Miditower Hard Drives 1465GB Seagate ST31500341AS

Have a look at this to see if it might apply in your case: Random yellow flag on network connectivity
Obviously, you will be checking the Keyboards and Mice and other pointing devices categories, but it won't do any harm to check that your Network adapters is also set as shown. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built, N/A OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit & 64-bit both SP1 CPU AMD Athlon (tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 7550 @2.5GHz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA770-ES3 Memory 2 x 2GB PC2-6400 (DDR2-800), Ganged Mode, (4GB total) Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB Sound Card Realtek High Definition on board solution (ALC 892) Monitor(s) Displays ViewSonic VA1912w Widescreen (VGA) Screen Resolution 1440x900 Keyboard Microsoft Digital Media Pro Keyboard (USB) Mouse Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 (USB) PSU XFX Pro Series 850W Semi-Modular Case Antec NSK 4000B II Cooling 1 x 80mm Front Inlet (with filter) 1 x 120mm Rear Exhaust Hard Drives OCZ Petrol SSD 64GB SATA III

Do you have an alternative keyboard/mouse that you can try?
Offtopic: I'm just curious as to why you state Sweden, yet show a Turkish flag? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built, N/A OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit & 64-bit both SP1 CPU AMD Athlon (tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 7550 @2.5GHz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA770-ES3 Memory 2 x 2GB PC2-6400 (DDR2-800), Ganged Mode, (4GB total) Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB Sound Card Realtek High Definition on board solution (ALC 892) Monitor(s) Displays ViewSonic VA1912w Widescreen (VGA) Screen Resolution 1440x900 Keyboard Microsoft Digital Media Pro Keyboard (USB) Mouse Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 (USB) PSU XFX Pro Series 850W Semi-Modular Case Antec NSK 4000B II Cooling 1 x 80mm Front Inlet (with filter) 1 x 120mm Rear Exhaust Hard Drives OCZ Petrol SSD 64GB SATA III

Unlikely, but if your alternative keyboard/mouse show the same symptoms then it could be a possibility. One thing you could try is using the suspect keyboard/mouse on a known good system. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built, N/A OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit & 64-bit both SP1 CPU AMD Athlon (tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 7550 @2.5GHz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA770-ES3 Memory 2 x 2GB PC2-6400 (DDR2-800), Ganged Mode, (4GB total) Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB Sound Card Realtek High Definition on board solution (ALC 892) Monitor(s) Displays ViewSonic VA1912w Widescreen (VGA) Screen Resolution 1440x900 Keyboard Microsoft Digital Media Pro Keyboard (USB) Mouse Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 (USB) PSU XFX Pro Series 850W Semi-Modular Case Antec NSK 4000B II Cooling 1 x 80mm Front Inlet (with filter) 1 x 120mm Rear Exhaust Hard Drives OCZ Petrol SSD 64GB SATA III
