| | Hard Disk Problem I have 2 hd, C and D.. on C i installed windows 7.. but on D i have my personal data.. before when I had win xp it was working without problems, now I cannot enter it.. first: http://www.sevenforums.com/attachmen...1&d=1309270049 , and when I click cancel it shows me this :http://www.sevenforums.com/attachmen...1&d=1309270049 I can`t format it, because I have data on it.. Help would be thankful ! |

| | It would help if we knew what motherboard you have. It looks to me like a disk controller driver is not working right. you can also attempt to run chkdsk on the selected drive. Disk Check |

| | just go into disk management and mark it active. It should let you do it. |

| | I assume this disk came from XP and has never worked with Windows 7. I would first try to recover the data with a live Linux CD. Linux is not quite as iffy as Windows 7 and you may be able to copy the data to e.g. an external drive. Then you can format the disk and put the data back. |
