    Microsoft Sidewinder mouse not working

    Hi,
My microsoft sidewinder mouse suddenly stopped working, it will not respond to anything. It lights up and shows the dpi counter and everything else but doesn't work on my pc or any other pc I have. The drivers I could find are installed but still no response. It shows the device but doesn't work.

    Any help appreciated :)

    Whatever you do...

...don't call Microsoft support without your receipt.

Unless you still have your receipt, you'll either have to settle for getting a much inferior mouse replacement (Sidewinder X3) or nothing at all.

Despite whatever the warranty and refund departments tell you (and you will have to call both), it will eventually loop back to the warranty department, which will tell you, despite earlier assurances that you'll be able to get a market-value refund without a receipt, that you'll need provide your receipt to get any kind of refund.

Otherwise, enjoy your brick of a mouse and Sidewinder X3 replacement.

    USB Power

Just make sure that your mouse isnt plugged into a low power usb port, soetimes its enough to make everthing light up, but not enough to make it work Your high power USBs are at the back of your pc
