Sorry,I can't understand you so much.. You want to change the icon of USB,or to protect the computer from inserting usb stics ?
Or something else..

Like Stalker, I am unclear on your question. If your question is that your anti virus program is blocking the USB stick, there must be a reason. Perhaps the AV is detecting something on the USB that is hazzardous to your computer. If you have an AV to protect your machine, you are defeating the purpose of the AV if you override it. But, most AV have a setting of an ignore list in them.

Your icon may be something more, like a Trojan/worm/keylogger embedded in it. Try some different icon from the windows icon cache as a science experiment..

noo, sorry sir, for confusing language. . what im trying to say is i put some autorun.inf in my flash drive like this:

[autorun]
icon=Eye.ico
label=®igz

..and it works fine, but what im trying to ask for help is when i plug it on other computers who has an anti-malware it will be detected as "autorun.inf" specially with those who have "USB Guard". .and if i go to other internet cafe for printing the administrator would delete it eventually because of its status "Risky".

What i wanted is: was there any tricks so that my "autorun.inf" will be stay hidden?and the other thing especially with computer who has Kapersky my autorun will be renamed as "autorun.inf.ren". .so any tricks so i can lock my autorun in my flashdrive?
i tried changing my attributes as +system +hidden and +read-only,but it didnt work.

-was it still confusing??

See if Kaspersky has a setting to allow the autorun.inf when it says it is blocking it?

wew hehe..i think everyone who peek in this thread was confused that is why i got no additional replies: ill try again:

here :

i found a software called USBWriteProtect.exe. .which prevents anyone to delete,rename and modify but my problem is i cannot copy files from my computer to my flashdrive unless turning it off the said software. .so that is a big procedure..

i need a software or any tweaking codes that would protect my own autorun.inf
because when i plug it in a computer affected with virus the virus would automatically modify my autorun.inf

to:

[AutoRun]

;wbfQuBvtiljDiN
SHELl\Open\cOmmANd = golrb.pif

;IiwFH dVqAIxaeQifcekgabOwhhvyfkuhfqHNq
ShEll\ExploRE\COMmANd= golrb.pif
;HdNHOG
sheLl\Open\DeFauLt=1

;VfDivUmXiIbsFd
OpEn= golrb.pif
;
sHELl\AUtoplaY\cOmmand= golrb.pif

instead of my own autorun:

[autorun]
ico=Android.ico
label=android

i found an application called " M file Anti-copy" and i want to use it but all the download links is contaminated with virus.

Glad you found something else to work rigz. did you use WinHex to compile a bat or registry key? Let us know so others can benefit.

Hmm, indeed Stalker. It would seem that USB protection software is flawed by recognizing the autorun.inf as mallicious.
I use Norton Internet Security 2011 which has an option to monitor attached drives, disks and USB devices and works well, no deleting the autorun.
